Role & Role Gates

In Human Design, your Profile determines your life’s Role. The thematic names for these roles are derived from the six Role Gates, which act as keynotes for the function of each of the six Lines across the entire The Bodygraph.

The six primary Role Gates are:

• Gate 10: The behavior of the self (provides names for the Profile lines like “Heretic,” “Role Model”).
• Gate 7: The role of the self in Leadership.
• Gate 1: The role of the self as a creative model.
• Gate 13: The role of the self in interaction (Listener).
• Gate 59: The genetic imperative to make more (Sexuality).
• Gate 27: The genetic imperative to nurture (Caring).
