Detriment & Exalted

Detriment and Exalted are often misleading terms used to describe the two inherent polarities of a Line’s expression. They do not represent “good” or “bad.” They are simply the “this and that” of the duality inherent in the line’s mechanic. For the Not-Self, the detriment can be experienced as a burden. For someone operating correctly, both polarities are simply aspects of their correct functioning.
