Rave Mandala vs Bodygraph
These are two distinct but hierarchically connected maps in Human Design.
The Rave Mandala
- What it is: The full systemic map of the environmental conditioning architecture. It is the 360° wheel that contains the 64 Gates.
- Function: It organizes how conditioning pressures evolve as planets transit through the gates, transmitting information via the Neutrino Stream.
- Scope: Cosmic and universal. It is the map of the program.
The Bodygraph
- What it is: A differentiated internal map of a specific form.
- Function: It models how a form’s Natal Design crystallizes consistent pathways (Definition) and receptivities (Openness) from the field’s environmental pressures.
- Scope: Personal and differentiated. It is the map of the imprinted being.
Relationship: The Bodygraph exists within the Mandala. A Natal Design is calculated by locating planetary positions on the Mandala at birth and translating those activations into the Bodygraph’s wiring.
